Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks, conduct inspections and complete repairs on heavy duty vehicles, trailers and cargo tanks.
- Document work performed on each vehicle on the repair order.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair air, hydraulic and electrical systems.
- Perform a wide variety of maintenance and diagnostic functions on bulk liquid handling equipment; PTO’s, pumps, meters, reels etc.
- Account for all time and material used in performing assigned duties.
- Must understand and properly use all tooling needed for cargo tank repairs.
- Maintains general housekeeping by keeping shop clean and free from oil, fluids, etc.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude for equipment repair.
- Welding & fabrication experience preferred.
- Knowledge of air brakes, hydraulics, electrical, and ABS brake systems is desired.
- A self-starter that works as a team member under the direction of management.
- Ability to prioritize work and follow through with repairs.
- Able to use common tools and equipment in the line of work.
- Must have basic hand tools or willing to invest in them
- Safety conscious – knows how to look out for him/herself and others in the work environment.
- Ability to frequently lift to 50 lbs. Able to lift 65 lbs. from floor to shoulder level occasionally.
- Requires frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing, balancing, lifting, carrying, and reaching or handling with arms, hands, and fingers. Also crawling and working in narrow spaces.
- Requires frequent repetitive movements, i.e., hammering, turning wrenches
- Exposed to heat, cold, noise mechanical/electrical fume or odor.
Salary : $40,000 - $70,000
