What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assembler I position at L.S. Starrett Company?
Job Summary:
Responsible for assembling parts, wiring, and adjusting precision units to produce products at floor stations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Follow all safety policies and PPE requirements
Assembles, tests and repairs precision components and units.
Examines component parts for defects.
Measures parts to ensure conformance to specified dimensions.
Trims and smooth parts using tools to ensure fit.
Qualifications:
Performs work under direct supervision.
Handles basic issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
Possesses beginning to work knowledge of subject matter.
Education Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED preferred
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull materials and equipment up to 40 pounds.
Ability to stand, sit, bend, walk, kneel, reach, and perform repetitive movements for extended periods of time.
Comfortable working in a shop environment that may include noise, machine operation, metal chips, oils and varying temperatures.
Payrange:
$19.60 - $22.00/hour based on experience
Salary : $20 - $22
