What are the responsibilities and job description for the Information Technology Help Desk position at L&R Distributors?
COMPANY
L&R is one of the largest distributors and purchasers of cosmetics in the United States. We now distribute over 40,000 items (cosmetics, toys, school supplies, hosiery, hair accessories, OTC, HBA, and more) through 3 regional warehouse locations in Arkansas, New Jersey, and Nevada.
GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB
Provide technical assistance to computer users. Answer questions or resolve computer problems for clients in person, or via telephone or electronically. May provide assistance concerning the use of computer hardware and software, including printing, installation, word processing, electronic mail, and operating systems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Answer user inquiries regarding computer software or hardware operation to resolve problems.
- Set up equipment for employee use, performing or ensuring proper installation of cables, operating systems, or appropriate software.
- Use ticketing platform to maintain records of daily concerns, problems, and remedial actions taken, or installation activities.
- Develop training materials and procedures, or train users in the proper use of hardware or software.
- Confer with staff, users, and management to establish requirements for new systems or modifications.
- Create and submit a monthly report to the CIO that reflects issues logged into the Help Desk, percent of unresolved tickets, length of open tickets, etc.
- Install and perform minor repairs to hardware, software, or peripheral equipment, following design or installation specifications.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participation in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals
- Perform other duties as assigned
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- 1 years administrative experience, data entry, call center, and/or IT experience
WORK SCHEDULE/HOURS
Monday through Friday 8:30AM to 5:30PM EST in office
PAY RANGE: up to $26.44/hr
