About the Role: We are seeking a highly organized, collaborative and detail-oriented Manager of Publications to lead our comprehensive print media initiatives. This role is for an ambitious professional with a passion for beauty retail who brings strong communication skills, exceptional attention to detail.

You will be the architect of our print presence, coordinating projects from concept through distribution. This requires a thorough understanding of workflow literacy, an eye for elevated design, and exceptional collaboration skills. Working closely with internal teams and external partners, you will help ensure every publication is engaging, brand-aligned, and serves as a powerful tool for our professional beauty audience.

Key Responsibilities:

Publication Production Coordination:

    • Manage the entire lifecycle of print projects, from initial content conceptualization and creative brief development to design, layout, proofing, production, and final distribution.
    • Track project timelines, asset handoffs, and production schedules to ensure all deadlines are met smoothly.
    • Maintain rigorous quality control standards throughout the process, ensuring all printed materials reflect premium quality, brand consistency, and accuracy.
    • Oversee color management, paper selection, and finishing techniques to achieve the highest aesthetic and tactile standards expected in the beauty industry.

Retail Catalog & Direct Mail Expertise:

    • Lead the comprehensive planning, content development, design, and production of our large-scale retail catalogs, ensuring they effectively showcase our product assortment and drive professional orders.
    • Direct the creation and execution of highly targeted direct mail units, leveraging data-driven insights to maximize engagement, response rates, and ROI.
    • Collaborate with the publisher to understand postal regulations, mailing logistics, and cost-optimization strategies for efficient distribution.

Agency & Printing Partner Management:

    • Identify, evaluate, select, and manage relationships with external design agencies, print production houses, mailing fulfillment centers, and other relevant vendors.
    • Negotiate contracts, manage project scopes, and ensure all external partners deliver high-quality work on time and within budget.
    • Serve as the primary liaison, providing clear direction, constructive feedback, and fostering strong, collaborative partnerships.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Integration:

    • Partner closely with merchant teams to understand product launches, promotional calendars, pricing strategies, and key selling messages, translating these into compelling print content.
    • Work seamlessly with retail teams to understand their needs, gather feedback, and ensure print materials are effective tools for in-store promotion and client engagement.
    • Collaborate with the creative services team (copywriters, designers) to ensure visual and verbal content is cohesive, impactful, and on-brand.

Budget & Financial Stewardship:

    • Develop, manage, and forecast budgets for all print publication projects, monitoring expenditures and identifying opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality or strategic objectives.
    • Provide regular reporting on project costs, timelines, and key performance indicators for print campaigns.

Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Graphic Design, or a related field.
    • 6 years of progressive professional experience in project management, marketing coordination or a similar role. Experience with print production a plus.
    • Exceptional organizational and project management skills with a proven ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities under tight deadlines.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels and cross functionally.
    • Basic understanding of design production processes, materials, printing, or postal logistics a plus.
    • Business acumen with the ability to understand market dynamics, merchandising strategies, and sales objectives.
    • Meticulous attention to detail, a keen aesthetic sensibility, and a results-oriented approach to all print endeavors.
    • Proficiency in standard office and project management tools; familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite is a bonus but not required.

Authorization to work in the United States on a full-time, permanent, ongoing basis is required. No immigration support/sponsorship offered for this role.

Being present in the office three days a week is considered an essential function of all office-based roles for eligible full-time employees.
