- Leadership and Team Management:
- Provide strong leadership, clear direction, and effective mentorship to the team.
- Foster a collaborative environment that promotes high performance and continuous improvement.
- Establish clear goals and objectives, monitor team performance, and deliver regular feedback and coaching.
- Reconciliation and Analysis:
- Manage/review Account Reconciliation for balance sheet accounts within their scope. Identify any risks, aging, and alert management
- Compliance and Internal Controls:
- Ensure unwavering compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Collaborate effectively with both internal and external auditors to facilitate audits and promptly address any inquiries or findings.
- Process Improvement and Optimization:
- Proactively identify opportunities to streamline processes in thier scope, enhance controls, and optimize resource allocation to significantly improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Lead or actively participate in cross-functional projects aimed at implementing process improvements, system enhancements, and automation initiatives (e.g., Blackline automation).
- Develop and diligently maintain comprehensive process documentation, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and internal controls.
- Drive operational effectiveness through the strategic utilization of shared service models.
- Education: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field is typically required.
- Certifications: A Certified Public Accountant is preferred
- Experience:
- 5 years of experience in a Big4 as an external auditor or technical accounting, preferred
- 7-10 years of extensive progressive experience in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years in a supervisory or managerial role, with demonstrable experience in leading teams.
- Proficiency with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems (such as SAP), and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience within a shared service environment is considered highly beneficial.
- Technical Expertise:
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and ideally proficiency in IFRS.
- Capability to perform comprehensive financial analysis, including ratio analysis and trend analysis.
