Job Summary:
We are seeking to add a member to our team who will function primarily as an in-house mechanic/assembler while also serving as a field service technician when the need arises. This role is based out of our Aston, PA headquarters and requires a proactive professional who will support our furnace production efforts. Occasional travel will be required to install, troubleshoot, and repair industrial furnaces at various customers sites. Expected travel is limited to 10 business days per month, with a maximum of 5 days per trip. A typical month's workload will be performed 75% in-house in Aston, PA and 25% on location at customer sites.
In-House Responsibilities:
Support the assembly and production of furnaces at our facility.
Troubleshoot technical issues with precision and provide timely solutions to ensure minimal downtime.
Provide exceptional customer service and technical support, both remotely and in person.
Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to improve product design and service delivery.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and participating in professional societies.
Travel Responsibilities:
Travel to customer locations to install new furnaces and conduct on-site repairs and maintenance.
Perform routine maintenance and inspections to uphold company standards of reliability and efficiency.
Document service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a field service technician or similar role, preferably in industrial equipment.
Technical degree or certification in mechanical or electrical engineering is preferred.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach to machinery.
Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and manuals.
Excellent communication and customer service skills, with an ability to manage stressful situations gracefully.
Willingness to travel.
Valid driver's license and passport, or ability to obtain a passport.
