As a Spring-Up 8 Way Hand-Tie Trainee, you'll be trained in one of the most prestigious upholstery techniques used in luxury furniture. No prior experience is required-just a great attitude and a willingness to learn!
What You'll Learn
Through our multi-step training program, you'll gain hands-on experience in:
- Reading production tickets and interpreting custom instructions
- Identifying different types of springs (lip springs vs. regular springs)
- Using specialized tools: scissors, staple gun, banding gun, webbing stretcher, pliers, clinch-it gun, and more
- Mastering the knot-knot technique to connect spring coils
- Completing and scanning finished pieces
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area
- A positive attitude and strong dependability
- Willingness to learn and grow in a skilled trade
- Mechanical aptitude or prior experience in furniture manufacturing is a plus
