Manufacturing Group Leader - Furniture Upholstery

Position Overview:

As a Group Leader, you will play a key role in leading a team of skilled upholstery professionals, ensuring high-quality production, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone with a strong background in upholstery and a passion for team development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Report daily productivity and output to the Plant Manager and Leadership Team


• Monitor production schedules to ensure on-time delivery and output goals


• Make quality control decisions to uphold Stickley's high standards


• Track attendance and performance metrics for department employees


• Coach and mentor team members to enhance skills and performance


• Collaborate with HR and Plant Manager on employee relations and resolutions


• Participate in performance evaluations and development planning


• Represent Stickley with professionalism as part of the Leadership Team


• Foster a positive, respectful, and productive work environment


• Lead and support employee appreciation and engagement activities


• Champion continuous improvement and LEAN manufacturing practices


• Utilize upholstery tools such as staple guns, nail guns, scissors, regulators, button needles, pliers, and tape measures

Qualifications:

• Solid knowledge of high-end, luxury upholstery standards


• Proven leadership skills with a positive, team-oriented attitude


• Strong communication and collaboration abilities


• Experience in a manufacturing or upholstery environment preferred
