Central Islip/Huntington and travel throughout Suffolk County
Hours:
35 hours per week; Friday – Sunday 3pm-11pm, Monday-Tuesday 8:30am-4:30pm Times/days may vary according to program needs.
Start Date:

Position Description:
Under the supervision of the Advocacy Manager this staff person provides advocacy services to victims of domestic violence within the designated Suffolk County Police Precinct three evenings per week and provides advocacy services within the court system two days per week. This staff person will also conduct community outreach within the boundaries of the designated police precinct.
Qualifications and Skills:
Commitment to working with people whose lives have been affected or may be affected by domestic violence and knowledge of domestic violence. Strong oral and written communication skills and a background in criminal justice. Ability to network and develop relationships with community agencies and individuals. Bachelor’s degree is required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $40,500.00 per year
