Staff Accountant

Job Overview
L&H Companies is experiencing growth and is seeking to add a highly motivated, self-starter to our accounting team as a Staff Accountant. As the Staff Accountant, you will assist with cost accounting, aid in the month end close process, perform account reconciliations, process accounts receivable/payable transactions, assist with inventory maintenance, analyze general ledger activity, and create financial schedules. The ideal candidate for this role should have great problem-solving skills, excellent time management and strong attention to detail.

Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

·         Supporting the daily accounting department functions

·         Support Month end/Year end Close

·         Journal Entries

·         Invoicing

·         Payroll processing

·         Labor reconciliation

·         Balance sheet account reconciliations

·         Monthly/Quarterly/Annual state sales tax filings

·         A/R Collections

·         New customer setup

·         Assisting with state compliance reporting

·         Support the annual CPA review

Requirements

·         On-site, full-time role in Reading, PA.

·         Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred, or equivalent experience

·         Minimum of 3 years’ experience

·         Strong attention to detail

·         Excellent time management

·         Strong analytical skills

·         Work both independently and in collaboration with others

·         Proficient in Microsoft Excel
