Job Summary:
L.G. Everist, Inc., founded in 1876, produces and supplies sand, gravel, and quarried stone throughout the Midwest region of the United States. The Welder/Fabricator is responsible for welding/fabricating metal materials on various types of stationary and mobile aggregate processing equipment as well as any other duties as instructed. Position will be based out of the Dell Rapids Shop, but there will be travel to various sites as needed. The Welder/Fabricator must be able to work in all-weather conditions and in time-challenged situations.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Does not have any direct reports.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Working safely is a condition of employment
• Demonstrable knowledge of metallurgy in the practices of welding and fabrication
• Welding techniques to include but not limited to TIG, MIG, arc and oxy-fuel welding
• Manual and mechanical welding techniques
• Perform complex repairs using various materials in all-weather conditions
• Understand and follow written and verbal instructions
• Read, understand and interpret blueprints
• Ability to work independently in performing repairs and maintenance

• CDL preferred but will train if needed
Education and Experience:
• High School diploma or GED
• Valid Driver's license required
• Minimum 5 years of experience welding and fabricating
Physical Requirements:
• Performing the job’s essential functions requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling; some climbing and balancing; some stooping, kneeling, and/or crouching; also walking over uneven terrain and climbing ladders
• This position must frequently lift, move, and/or carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with or without assistance
