Job Summary:
The Sales - Inside Sales position is responsible for assisting sales representatives with sales-related tasks and duties for the Midwest region of the company. The individual in this role must be a self-starter with excellent communication and team building skills.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
• No direct reports
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Monitors LGE website email and distributes customer emails to appropriate salesperson.
• Orders construction plans from cities, counties, states, and private consultants.
• Sends new customer account information forms and submits them to accounting.
• Performs Sales Project Management (SPM) maintenance and data entry to facilitate accounting.
• Retrieves customer tickets and invoices from the customer portal.
• Processes customer aggregate credit card orders and deliveries.
• Maintains Ace Ready Mix, LGE, Myrl & Roy’s ticket detail reporting.
• Assists with coordinating material deliveries, freight, and logistics.
• Responsible for material sample request forms and quality data submittals.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to learn aggregate, concrete, and asphalt material specifics.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Ability to analyze and interpret numerical data.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
Education and Experience:
• High School diploma or GED.
• Minimum of five years of experience in sales, customer service, or related industry.
• Proven results in customer relations.
• Excel, Word and Google experience and computer proficient.
Physical Requirements:
• Performs duties in well-ventilated, well-lighted, and temperature-controlled office environment.
• Must be able to withstand periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Ability to perform assigned duties in highly interruptive conditions.
• Ability to maintain visual attention and mental concentration for significant periods of time.
• Ability to perform assigned job duties under constant time pressures.
