Mine LaborerJob DescriptionDepartment: Ft. Lupton Plant, 12248 Co Rd 15, Longmont, CO 80504Reports to: Plant ManagerJob Summary:The primary functions of a mine laborer include assisting with production, performing general laborer tasks, maintaining plant housekeeping, and providing assistance in all areas of the plant as needed.Supervisory Responsibilities:Does not have any direct reports.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Perform physical duties of the task assigned.Follows all company safety and environmental policies and FRA, MSHA, EPA, DOT, and SDDANR.Display good communication skills, including the ability to understand and follow verbal and written directions and instructions.Build and maintain positive working relationships with coworkers, supervisors, contractors, and customers.Understand and complete pre-shift inspections on plant and heavy equipment.Ability and knowledge to safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment as designed (skid steer, haul truck, loaders).Perform maintenance on plant and mobile equipment as needed.Be able to safely use or operate hand and power tools.Responsible for housekeeping, including plant, equipment, and plant site.Ability to comprehend and complete all the necessary paperwork in an accurate manner.All other duties assigned.Required Skills/Abilities:Excellent communication/interpersonal skills.Excellent problem-solving skills.Keen attention to detail.Good work attendance is a must.Ability to work safely in a team environment.Education and Experience:High School diploma or GEDPhysical Requirements:Ability to stand, squat, bend, walk for long durations.Ability to climb stairs and ladders.Ability to tolerate working outdoors in all environmental temperatures and weather conditions.Ability to walk on uneven surfaces.Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.L.
