Description
This position requires an individual with a team efficiency and creativity out in the market. This job will require Merchandisers to maintain and restock accounts with L&F product.
This position will require the participation and the up selling of products to the accounts. One main objective is to establish and maintain a professional working relationship with each of his accounts, this will allow merchandiser to deliver products to all accounts in a timely manner.
This class works under some supervision to set procedures on how and when to complete tasks.
Duties and Responsibilities
The functions listed below are those that represent the majority of the time spent working in this position. Management may assign additional functions related to the type of work of the position as necessary.
- Responsible for regular merchandising duties at a store level, which include areas such as stocking, rotating product, and building displays.
- Go to assigned accounts one to two times daily to restock product.
- Assist the driver in delivery.
- Perform repack functions when receiving damaged cases.
- Assist in assembling and disassembling POS and other promotional merchandise.
- Operate hand-trucks and pallet jacks to move cases from the stockroom to the sales floor.
- Places price and descriptive signs on backdrops, fixtures, and displays
- Inform Sales Rep of any product running low or out of stocks.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED Certificate preferred; Minimum 1-year work experience in customer service.
- Flexibility to work outside of normal shift hours to accommodate various employee schedules.
Required Knowledge and Abilities
- Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems.
- Strong team player and the ability to get along with co-workers.
- Good verbal / written communication skills, basic math skills, and ability to read documents in English, such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
Physical Demands
- Performs sedentary work that involves walking or standing some of the time and involves exerting up to 50 pounds of force on a regular and recurring basis or sustained keyboard operations.
- Employee frequently is required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch or craw
- Employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- Exposure to weather and temperature variations.
- To help load / unload beer cases at events and at account locations.
Unavoidable Hazards (Work Environment) Involves routine and frequent exposure to :
Bright / dim light; Dusts and pollen. Extreme heat and / or cold; Wet or humid conditions. Extreme noise levels Vibration;
Fumes and / or noxious odors. Traffic Heights. Other extreme hazards not listed above.
Special Certifications and Licenses
- Must possess and maintain a valid state Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
- Must be able to pass criminal background and drug screen.
