JOB DESCRIPTION – Entry Level Machinist

POSTED POSITION:

The Entry Level Tool Assembly / Office Support role is a critical part for L.E. Wilson's Team. You will be working with your hands daily, learning how to assemble tools, packaging, along with shipping and receiving goods. This is a production atmosphere so the day is fast pace with lots to do. To be successful in the role, this person must be self-driven, motivated, and able to follow detailed instructions. You report directly to the Production Manager. You would also have opportunities to learn other tasks as we are a small family run business and will give you the ability to learn as you go. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work with and around team members as a positive and contributing team member.
• Push/ pull wheeled carts of product.
• Lift and carry up to 40 lbs. occasionally.
• Stand on concrete for most of the work shift.
• Comply with all safety policies and procedures.
• Participate in the continuous improvement processes at L.E. Wilson INC
• Be detail-oriented, quality-minded, solution-oriented and team-participant.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be punctual; on time every day and ready to work.
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be able to provide eligibility documents for employment in the United States
• Understand, speak, read, and write English; perform math calculations at an 8th grade level.
• Must learn to read calipers and micrometers accurately.
• Be willing to learn and follow work instructions to operate machinery safely.
• Be a self-starter, independent worker, reliable and prompt, have reliable transportation.
• Must have good eye-hand coordination and ability to multi-task.
• Must have basic computer skills.
• Must have a stable work history.
• Must be able and willing to work overtime as required with little notice.
• Must be flexible to perform other work assignments as needed.
