For a comprehensive list of benefits, please click here: Benefits | CoxHealth Job Description: Additional Information About the Position for Qualified Candidates ▪ $1.00 BSN pay Job Summary The Staff Nurse provides direct and indirect patient care, including: assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patients; completes health history and physical examination on patients; conveys findings to physician. Coordinates patient care, orders diagnostic tests, conveys findings to physician, attends inpatient rounds, coordinates patient appointments, and assists with referrals to outside sources. Assists physician and provides support with examinations, procedures, and other processes related to direct patient care. Preforms a variety of nursing administrative duties, including compliance with environment safety regulations, infection control standards, and quality assurance. Acts as a liaison and team leader by facilitating communication and coordination of care between patients, families, and health care team members; explains routines and procedures to patients and coordinates patient care information to appropriate sources. Addresses system issues to facilitate the provision of quality efficient care. Delegates appropriately to other team members. Excellent communication skills, leadership ability, time management, and problem solving skills required. Education ▪ Required: Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing or NLN approved program ▪ Preferred: Bachelors of Science in Nursing Experience ▪ Required: 6 months of prior experience as a Registered Nurse, or prior experience as a Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse in an outpatient or ambulatory clinic setting Skills ▪ Excellent verbal and written communication skills. ▪ Able to work independently and collaboratively in teams. ▪ Exhibits ability to manage time and prioritize work. ▪ Proficient Computer skills Licensure/Certification/Registration ▪ Required: Current Registered Nurse License active in the state of Missouri ▪ Must obtain American Heart Association BLS within 90 days of hire ▪ Preferred: ACLS Looking for Physician Opportunities?
