For a comprehensive list of benefits, please click here: Benefits | CoxHealth Job Description: The infant hearing tech performs infant hearing screenings in the newborn nursery and neonatal intensive care unit at Cox South. The infant hearing tech is trained by and works with an audiologist. The infant hearing tech monitors the tasklist and communicates with RN’s to ensure all babies receive a hearing screening prior to discharge. The tech also completes clerical tasks such answering phone calls, scheduling outpatient appointments, obtaining orders, and collecting and entering information for program QI and for the state infant hearing program. Education: ▪ Required: High school diploma or equivalent ▪ Preferred: Undergraduate degree in audiology or speech pathology Experience: ▪ Preferred: Experience working with infants, any other medical experience such as PCA or medical office Skills: ▪ Computer skills including Microsoft Office ▪ Ability to hold and handle infants confidently ▪ Excellent communication skills and customer service abilities.
