Job Summary
Looking for experienced container drivers to run regional intermodal freight out of Detroit. Most work is drop & hook, no touch, and you're home every night.
The Job:
- Regional intermodal runs - Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois
- Drop & hook dedicated lanes available
- No touch freight - you're not loading or unloading anything
- Home every night. Off most weekends - occasional Saturday when the freight's there
- Most loads dispatch right from the yard
- On-site mechanics and on-site fuel - help's close by, and you're not burning time hunting for a truck stop
- Paid weekly, 1099 - percentage of the load plus detention pay after 1-2 hours (depends on the customer)
What You Need:
- Valid CDL-A with current medical card
- Container/intermodal experience - preferred
- Clean MVR, no alcohol-related incidents in the last 5 years, no prior positive drug/alcohol tests
- Able to pass a drug screen
- Comfortable hooking/unhooking chassis, opening and closing container doors, climbing in for inspections, lifting up to 55 lbs, and backing into docks
