Position Overview
The Division Manager provides overall leadership for our Tampa Bay division, ensuring operational excellence while driving growth through sales and business development. This is a strategic hybrid role that requires versatility, initiative, and a strong ability to balance internal management with external client engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all local operations, reporting directly to the parent company.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, contractors, and local stakeholders.
- Proactively engage with clients through visits, meetings, and business development initiatives.
- Develop and implement goals for the division in collaboration with senior management.
- Drive market analysis, identify growth opportunities, and achieve sales objectives.
- Support local sales and project-related discussions with the parent company’s sales and estimating teams.
- Represent the company at local events, industry meetings, and congresses.
- Manage recruitment, staffing, and personnel performance in collaboration with HR.
- Oversee project planning, production scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Step into project management responsibilities when required.
Key Success Factor
This position requires a strategic leader who can wear multiple hats: a strong business developer, a trusted client representative, and an effective manager of people and operations.
Expectations
- 2–3 days per week on the road for customer visits.
- 2–3 days per week in the office for management and business development planning.
- Mandatory presence every morning at shop opening (6:30 AM) to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in sales, business development, or division/branch management.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a lean team.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to balance client-facing responsibilities with internal operational management.
- Experience in construction, steel, or related industries is an asset.
