Delivery Driver (INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR)

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a cargo van or similar commercial vehicle to deliver goods across designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Load and unload deliveries ensuring items are handled with care.
• Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to maximize productivity and punctuality.
• Provide outstanding customer service by greeting clients professionally, answering questions, and addressing any concerns during delivery.
• Verify delivery accuracy
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform routine inspections to ensure optimal operation.
• Communicate proactively with dispatch or team members regarding delivery status, delays, or issues encountered on the route.
• Assist with warehouse tasks such as organizing inventory, moving stock, or preparing shipments when required.
• Handle light lifting safely during loading/unloading processes while following proper ergonomic practices.
• Support the team in maintaining a safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and reporting hazards promptly.

Requirements

(MUST HAVE YOUR OWN CARGO VAN, SPRINTER VAN, MINI VAN)

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating commercial vehicles such as cargo or sprinter van is preferred.
• Proven delivery driver experience or similar roles involving route driving and customer interaction.
• Ability to perform Light lifting and physical tasks related to moving goods efficiently and safely.
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor.
• Knowledge of local traffic laws and route planning strategies.
• Ability to work independently while managing time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
