The L.D.Batchelder Elementary School has an anticipated opening for a Grade 2 Long-Term Substitute Teacher tentatively from September 2026 through January 2027. Essential duties
- Unit/lesson planning
- Direct instruction of students
- Assessment of student learning
- Be available to conference with parents/guardians and families as needed or requested
- Work closely with our Grade 4 team to ensure pacing and learning expectations are maintained
- Other duties as requested by the Building Principal or their Designee
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field
- Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education teaching license in Elementary, Grades 1-6
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Collaborative working demeanor
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- At least 3 years of relevant experience preferred
- Citizenship, residency, or work visa required
