Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Operations / Reservoir Engineer, based in Abilene, TX. The role involves tasks such as evaluating reservoir performance, conducting reservoir simulations, designing and implementing production optimization techniques, and managing reservoir operations to maximize production. The engineer will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support the company’s oil and gas initiatives while ensuring compliance with industry regulations and enhancing operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- 10 - 15 years of experience.
- Must reside in the Abilene area
- Excellent log reading skills,
- Knowledge of drilling and completion operations from top to bottom.
- Well Service Repair & Maintenance (currently 2 service units constantly working daily).
- Facility knowledge.
- Good computer skills.
- Knowledge of water flood operations and facilities.
- Completions knowledge with Acid – Fracking knowledge.
- Knowledge of chemicals and monitoring
- Self-starter.
Duties:
- Organize team to be efficient and plan ahead.
- Furnish well schematics for workovers and well repair as well as completions
- Implement a fluid level program and monitor pumpers to ensure well tests are performed on a regular schedule
- Provide daily information to field supervisors to repair and maintain wells
- Monitor daily production/volume on wells and monitor injection wells and look for ways to increase production
- Provide solutions to ensure well maintenance and continued production
- Control expenses of low volume wells, waterflood, casing leak repairs and facility construction.
- Ensuring compliance with laws and regulations and that work is performed in a safe manner.
- Evaluate and analyze chemicals costs and provide solutions to any issues that may arise

Compensation Package:
- $175,000 DOE
