What are the responsibilities and job description for the BARBACK - STEAKHOUSE position at L'Auberge Baton Rouge?

- Maintain the beverage stock in beverage supply room.
- Stock all bars and beverage stations with supplies.
- Take beverage orders from serving staff or directly from patrons.
- Serve wine, and bottled or draft beer. Mix ingredients, such as liquor, soda, water, sugar and bitters, to prepare cocktails and other drinks.
- Check identification of customers to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol.
- Accurately account for and collect payment for all drink orders through MICROS system.
- Attempt to limit problems related to guests’ excessive drinking by providing responsible alcohol service.
- Clean glasses, utensils, and bar equipment. Arrange bottles and glasses to make attractive displays.
- Clean bars, work areas and tables. Order or requisition liquor and supplies.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain responsible alcohol service certification.
- These skills and abilities are typically acquired through at least 2-years’ experience directly related to the accountabilities specified.
