START DATE: 6-9-26
20 HOUR PER WEEK
- If more than one person is hired - $7000.00 is split between them.
1. Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate required.
2. Experienced teacher
3. Demonstrate leadership skills
4. Ability to work effectively with staff, students, and community.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Oversee daily running of operation of grades 6-12 program
2. Development of brochure
3. Development of course selections and descriptions for Middle School and High School
4. Establish staffing needs and posts respectively
5. Interview Summer School teacher candidates
6. Hold planning sessions for teachers in Middle and High School
7. Secures and distributes curriculum, instructional texts and supplies to all teachers
8. Establishes and communicates daily/hourly schedules
9. Organizes and plans for classroom usage
10. Sets daily break schedule
11. Ensures teacher readiness for classroom instruction
12. Communicates with the Transportation Department to arrange busses and routes
13. Assigns duties to bus drivers during "off" hours in day
14. Meets requirements of Title 1 programming for Middle School students
15. Responds and facilitates student discipline and service issues
16. Oversees daily Counseling activities with Counselors
17. Ensures student progress reporting procedures
18. Other duties as assigned.
