Overview
Equipment Operator to support daily agricultural operations. The ideal candidate will be skilled in operating tractors and farm implements, including balers and rakes, and capable of performing fieldwork such as weed control (including hoeing) and general farm maintenance. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to handle a variety of tasks, from equipment operation to miscellaneous farm duties. Candidates should be comfortable working outdoors in varying conditions and contributing to a productive, team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate tractors and farm equipment, including balers, rakes, and other implements, to support daily agricultural operations.
- Perform fieldwork such as raking, baling, and weed control (including hoeing) with attention to quality and efficiency.
- Conduct routine inspections, basic maintenance, and cleaning of equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation.
- Assist with planting, harvesting, irrigation, and general crop management as needed.
- Complete general farm labor tasks and odd jobs, including repairs, maintenance, and property upkeep.
- Load, transport, and organize materials, equipment, and supplies around the farm.
- Follow all safety procedures and operate equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
- Work collaboratively with team members to complete tasks on schedule and support overall farm productivity.
- Adapt to changing priorities and seasonal demands in a fast-paced, outdoor work environment.
Qualifications
- Prior experience operating tractors and farm equipment, including balers, rakes, and similar implements preferred.
- Basic mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform routine maintenance and minor equipment repairs.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, bending, and working long hours outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to take on a variety of tasks, including general farm labor and miscellaneous duties as needed.
- Valid driver’s license; experience operating farm vehicles or towing equipment is a plus.
- Understanding of farm safety practices and ability to follow safety procedures at all times.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate clearly with supervisors and coworkers.
- Previous agricultural or farm experience is preferred but not required for motivated candidates willing to learn.
Pay: $17.33 - $20.00 per hour
