About the role:
LA Libations is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director, National Accounts to drive sales for our growing portfolio of brands. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the Club, Mass and Convenience store channels, especially with beverages, a proven track record of success in account management and sales, and excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Prior experience selling to Walmart, Sams Club, and other major retail accounts is critical for a successful candidate.
This is a remote office based position with approximately 25% travel time, ideally located in Bentonville, AR. The Director, National Accounts will attend major industry trade shows (e.g., Expo West, NACS, etc.) and occasionally travel to visit retail partners Growth opportunity is huge, and the right candidate will rapidly build out their network.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategic account plans for retailers in Club, Mass, and Convenience channels.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within assigned accounts
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (marketing, operations, finance) to develop and execute programs and initiatives to support account growth and drive sales
- Analyze and interpret sales data and market trends to identify opportunities and make recommendations to drive business growth
- Monitor and manage account budgets, promotional spend, and trade spend to maximize ROI
- Collaborate with distributor partners to ensure effective execution of sales programs and initiatives
- Deep understanding of all “back of the house” paperwork associated with key account management.
Requirements:
- Entrepreneurial spirit and passion for emerging brands
- Experience with Walmart and Sams Club is required. Proven track record of success in developing and managing national and regional accounts
- Experience and understanding of product route to market, including DSD, UNFI and KeHe
- Ability to manage multiple brands across multiple retailers. Prioritization, organizational skills, and focus are a must
- Strong understanding of natural channel grocery retail landscape and consumer trends
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends to identify opportunities and make strategic recommendations
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Starting salary for this role is projected between $125,000 - $150,000. Salary is commensurate with experience and location. In addition to the salary L.A. Libations offers a comprehensive benefits program.
