QED Hospitality is a restaurant operations management group, focused on running Food & Beverage operations in boutique hotels and exclusive sites nationally.

Your job as a barback is to work as part of the bar team to ensure our bartenders are set up for success before the first guest arrives. You operate with disciplined attention to detail and pride in craft. This role requires organization, efficiency, and a true understanding that what happens behind the scenes directly impacts the guest experience. You are the backbone of the rooftop execution and move proactively before anyone asks.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintain full bar stock including liquor, wine, beer, mixers, garnishes, ice, and glassware

Transport alcohol deliveries safely to the rooftop and organize inventory for service readiness

Receive, check in, and properly store beverage deliveries

Organize and rotate inventory using FIFO standards

Anticipate bartender needs proactively during high-volume service

Keep bar stations clean, stocked, and organized at all times

Remove trash, restock ice, and polish glassware efficiently

Maintain awareness of common allergens (e.g., nut-based liqueurs, dairy products, egg whites) to prevent cross-contamination

Assist with opening and closing duties

Communicate low inventory or product concerns to leadership immediately

Lift and carry up to 50 lbs. regularly (cases of liquor, kegs, ice, etc.)

Maintain urgency and composure in fast-paced rooftop environment

Required: Must be 18 years of age or older. Must have (or be in the process of applying for) a valid alcohol serving permit (specific permit will vary by state). Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position (lifting at least 50lbs, standing for up to 8 hours, etc). Must be able to work as a team and get along will with guests and coworkers. Must be able to uphold company standards relating to appearance and dress.
PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the restaurant. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Must have a manual dexterity and coordination to operate restaurant and office equipment and machines. Must be able to work at a fast pace and in stressful situations. Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
