In this role you will plan and manage the daily operations of the office and support the HR team.
Duties/Responsibilities
Office Management:
- Oversee daily office operations, maintaining a professional and efficient workspace.
- Manage office supplies, equipment, and vendor relationships.
- Coordinate meetings, appointments, and company events.
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail, deliveries, and general correspondence.
- Generate monthly expense reports for the credit card statement.
- Assist with administrative duties as needed.
- Act as the primary point of contact for office-related inquiries.
- Assist with onboarding and orientation of new employees.
- Verify I-9 documentation, complete forms and follow-through with updates as required.
- Update employee records, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Assist in the coordination and execution of various HR and recruiting projects.
- Serve as a point of contact for employees on HR matters including benefits, policies, procedures, and general inquiries.
- Assist in planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations.
- Maintain all mandatory postings, assuring timely updates to current versions.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 5 years' experience as an Office Manager, Administrative Manager, or similar role.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in an HR role.
- Basic HR knowledge with an emphasis on Massachusetts laws and compliance.
- A/E/C industry experience a plus.
- Experience with HRIS (Human Resources Information System).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
