Under the general direction of the Director of Sales, the Key Account Manager – Walmart is responsible for managing and growing Marmon Retail Services’ business with Walmart. This role owns the day-to-day and strategic management of Walmart accounts for Unarco, Cannon Equipment and LA Darling.
As a member of the Walmart Team, this position partners closely with sales, engineering, operations, supply chain, and customer service teams across multiple facilities to ensure aligned execution against Walmart’s expectations. Under the general direction of the Director of Sales, the Key Account Manager – Walmart is responsible for managing and growing Marmon Retail Services’ business with Walmart. This role owns the day-to-day and strategic management of Walmart accounts for Unarco, Cannon Equipment and LA Darling.

Position Responsibilities
- Own account-level forecasting to ensure product availability while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory
- Review customer orders daily for accuracy and provide timely backorder and demand reports to manufacturing and planning teams
- Manage Pulse and related internal systems to ensure accurate, real-time order status visibility for the customer
- Update, manage, and analyze forecasts using Walmart and customer platforms (e.g., RetailLink, Lucernex, QuickBase)
- Serve as the primary voice of the customer by clearly communicating Walmart’s needs, expectations, and priorities to internal Marmon Retail Services teams
- Act as a direct customer contact, communicating professionally and effectively with all levels of Walmart’s organization, including leadership
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage and influence internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent organizational, time management, and project management skills in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Ability to manage fluctuations in project volume without losing focus or execution discipline
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to make sound decisions based on available data
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis
- Ability to quickly adapt, learn new systems, and manage change effectively
- Strong financial and commercial acumen with technical credibility and attention to detail
- Willingness and ability to travel by air or automobile as business needs require
- Proven accountability and success in customer-facing or large-account environments
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in B2B customer service, sales, or account management
- 5 years of experience managing large or complex customer accounts; Walmart experience required
- Experience selling items into Walmart for their use required
