Duties
- Perform comprehensive auto body repairs including dent removal, panel replacement, and alignment using hand tools and power tools.
- Utilize MIG welding, soldering, and sheet metal fabrication skills to repair or replace damaged vehicle parts.
- Maintain detailed repair estimates and communicate effectively with customers regarding repair progress and vehicle condition.
- Assist in auto restoration projects by fabricating custom parts and performing mechanical repairs as needed.
- Conduct vehicle maintenance checks, including mechanical inspections and minor repairs to ensure optimal performance.
Experience
- Proven dealership experience or extensive background in auto body repair is highly preferred.
- Hands-on experience with MIG welding, welding techniques, sheet metal work, and fabrication processes.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems, including auto painting, auto glass installation, and vehicle assembly.
- Familiarity with auto estimating software and customer service practices is advantageous.
- Ability to operate various hand tools, power tools, heavy lifting equipment, and specialized automotive repair tools safely and efficiently.
- Experience with auto restoration projects or classic vehicle repairs is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
