PLC Technician Trainer-Automotive

50% travel to US, Canada, Mexico and Japan

The primary responsibility of this role is to:

• Lead training sessions with both new hires and experienced members within the BPE organization
• Create new training plans as new technologies are implemented
• Offline and/or online robot programming
• Confirm that new model equipment meets set standards and performs as intended
• Prepare and confirm new Body equipment at the vendors
• Support Machine Seibi activity at North American Manufacturing Companies from installation to start of production
• Develop equipment countermeasures during set up/trials
• Engage in travel (or dispatch) to U.S., Canada and/or Mexico NAMCs and suppliers, as well as foreign travel including Japan, Canada, and Mexico.
• Commonly work overtime, including weekends and holidays.

What you'll be doing

• Current or recent Seibi or automotive maintenance experience 10 years
• PLC troubleshooting and logic updates experience
• Omron PLC troubleshooting and logic updates experience 3 years
• Experience with MS Office, including Excel, Powerpoint, Word & Outlook – Proficient
• Training experience in Seibi technical group or maintenance – 10 yrs
• Ability to train others in classroom environment and OJT
• Willing and able to travel up to 25% (including international travel – Japan, Canada , Mexico, TX).
• Willing and able to work up to 50% OT and weekends as needed – (As per the need – 25% - 50%)
• People Management - Need to work well with people
• Writing training curriculum.
• Need to go on floor as well.
• Hands on role along with the training – 50/50
