Job Overview
Client is seeking an experienced Injection Process Engineer with a strong background in injection molding, manufacturing engineering, and cosmetics and beauty product packaging development. The ideal candidate will have approximately 10 years or more of relevant experience, with expertise in injection molding process optimization, robot programming, packaging design, and quality improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and coach the Injection Molding Team through regular team meetings, technical guidance, and on-the-job training.
- Troubleshoot and resolve injection molding process issues, including new project and production challenges.
- Optimize injection molding machine processes, including tuning new machine modes and programming industrial robots.
- Define and document process specifications, parameters, and process requirements.
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate advanced manufacturing and industrial engineering activities.
- Lead root cause analysis and problem-solving activities using QRQC, 5S, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Coordinate with suppliers, customers, engineers, technicians, and production teams to resolve quality and process issues.
- Review daily production schedules and ensure manufacturing activities meet technical specifications and project timelines.
- Support customer initial sample submissions and ensure accurate documentation for new service part numbers.
- Support cosmetics and beauty product packaging development and design, including material selection, packaging quality, and manufacturing feasibility.
- Ensure compliance with project roadmaps, quality standards, and established manufacturing procedures.
- Travel locally as needed and internationally to Europe or China approximately once or twice per year.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- Minimum of 4 years of related experience; approximately 10 years or more of relevant experience is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience troubleshooting and resolving injection molding process issues.
- Strong experience in injection molding process optimization and manufacturing engineering.
- Experience with injection molding machine setup, process tuning, and robot programming.
- Ability to define process specifications and optimize manufacturing processes.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, including working with external suppliers and customers.
- Experience with continuous improvement methodologies, root cause analysis, and quality problem-solving tools.
Preferred Experience
- Strong experience in cosmetics, beauty products, or personal care packaging is highly preferred.
- Experience in cosmetics packaging development and design.
- Knowledge of packaging material selection, product quality, and packaging manufacturing processes.
- Experience supporting new product launches, process development, and packaging quality improvements.
- Experience working in automotive or other high-volume manufacturing environments is a plus.
Additional Requirements
- Must have a valid passport and be willing to travel internationally to Europe and China approximately once or twice per year.
- Must be willing to travel locally as required.
Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
