The Kentucky Virtual Academy, the districtwide virtual program of Cloverport Independent School District, is seeking a full-time CTE / Testing Coordinator for the 2026-2027 school year. The salary will follow the district's certified salary schedule. This position is for 220 days and includes a $10,000 stipend.

Scope of Responsibilities:
The Career and Technical Education (CTE) and Testing Coordinator is responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating district-wide CTE programs and state-required testing coordination and operations. This position ensures that all programs align with Kentucky Department of Education (KDE) standards, Perkins V requirements, and workforce needs while supporting student college/career readiness and academic accountability.
The coordinator serves as the primary liaison between schools, district leadership, KDE, postsecondary partners, and community stakeholders to ensure students successfully transition to college, careers, and the workforce. CTE programs emphasize career pathways, industry certifications, and work-based learning opportunities that prepare students for postsecondary success.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Program Development, Implementation, and Management
? Develop, implement, and continuously monitor CTE programs and career pathways
? Select and submit pathways aligned with KDE and organizational requirements
? Establish and expand new pathways based on student interest and workforce demand
? Evaluate program enrollment, class sizes, and course offerings
? Coordinate dual credit opportunities, including MOUs with colleges and universities
? Develop course structures, pacing, and scheduling in collaboration with operations and counseling teams
? Plan and manage annual CTE events, including CTE Month, pathway awareness campaigns, and program expansion initiatives
? Maintain and update course catalogs, pathway options, and scheduling systems
2. Compliance, Accountability, and Program Evaluation
? Ensure all CTE programs meet KDE standards, accountability indicators, and Perkins V requirements
? Monitor program compliance with size, scope, and quality expectations for funding eligibility
? Coordinate End-of-Program (EOP) assessments and track career readiness indicators
? Maintain accurate records for audits, state reporting, and compliance reviews
? Complete and manage Continuous Improvement Framework (CIF) processes and documentation
? Analyze data related to enrollment, certifications, pathway completion, and student outcomes
? Develop and implement continuous improvement plans based on program performance
3. Testing Coordination and Administration
? Serve as liaison to the District Assessment Coordinator and as the primary contact for all school-based assessments
? Coordinate and schedule all required state and organizational assessments (KSA, ACT, SAT, MAP, WIDA, Brigance, KYOTE, etc.)
? Manage testing logistics including scheduling, site coordination, room assignments, and system setup
? Ensure compliance with Kentucky testing regulations and post-assessment reporting (e.g., SDRR)
? Train teachers, site coordinators, and staff on testing platforms such as Testing Nirvana and MAP
? Communicate testing schedules, expectations, and procedures to staff, students, and families
? Coordinate device readiness, including computer preparation and testing platform setup
? Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and required documentation for testing locations
? Maintain test security and integrity, report irregularities, and ensure confidentiality.
? Analyze and communicate data to assist school leaders in decision making and interpret test results/provide analysis for teachers.
4. Instructional Leadership and Teacher Support
? Support CTE and dual credit teachers with curriculum development aligned to industry standards and KDE pathways
? Provide professional development, including onboarding, certification requirements, and instructional best practices
? Develop and implement annual CTE and dual credit professional development plans
? Ensure teachers maintain appropriate certifications and credentials
? Collaborate with teachers to integrate academic and technical skills within pathways
? Organize professional development and training for teachers leading Career and Technical Student Organizations
5. Work-Based Learning and Industry Partnerships
? Develop and maintain partnerships with businesses, chambers of commerce, and community organizations
? Create and oversee work-based learning (WBL) programs, including internships, apprenticeships, and job shadowing
? Schedule and coordinate partnership meetings and student opportunities
? Facilitate advisory committees for each CTE program area
? Align programming with high-demand, high-wage career sectors
6. Student Career Readiness and Support
? Promote student participation in CTE pathways and career exploration activities
? Coordinate student orientations, open houses, and pathway selection processes
? Support students in earning industry certifications and completing pathway requirements
? Collaborate with counselors to track graduation progress and postsecondary readiness
? Assist students in developing resumes, portfolios (e.g., Tallo, Naviance), and career plans
? Coordinate career fairs, postsecondary planning events, and military enlistment opportunities
? Verify and track post-graduation outcomes including employment, college enrollment, certifications, and scholarships
7. CTSO (Career and Technical Student Organizations) Leadership
? Establish and manage CTSOs aligned to pathway programs
? Plan meetings, competitions, fundraisers, and student leadership opportunities
? Coordinate student participation in regional, state, and national CTSO events
? Maintain CTSO records, finances, and program documentation
8. Grants, Budget, and Resource Management
? Manage Perkins grant applications, budgeting, and reporting processes
? Ensure funds are used in compliance with federal and state guidelines
? Track expenditures and allocate resources to support program growth
? Identify and pursue additional funding opportunities
? Oversee purchasing processes, including certification vouchers, program materials, and equipment
9. Communication, Outreach, and Program Promotion
? Communicate regularly with students, families, and staff regarding CTE programs and testing
? Develop newsletters, orientation materials, and program marketing resources
? Promote awareness of CTE opportunities, pathways, and student success
? Coordinate outreach campaigns including re-registration and pathway awareness initiatives
? Serve as liaison between district leadership, KDE, families, and community stakeholders
10. Data Management and Systems Coordination
? Maintain accurate student pathway data in systems such as TEDS, Infinite Campus, and PowerSchool
? Track student enrollment, course completion, certifications, and outcomes
? Collaborate with counseling teams to ensure accurate student records and pathway alignment
? Prepare data for state reporting, audits, and program evaluation
11. Strategic Leadership and Planning
? Establish annual benchmarks and program goals aligned with district and KDE priorities
? Develop and maintain a yearly CTE calendar of events and initiatives
? Participate in district, regional, and state-level CTE leadership meetings
? Lead long-term planning for program expansion and innovation
? Serve as the district’s primary CTE representative and subject matter expert

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
? Bachelor’s Degree and Kentucky Teacher Certification
