Duties
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges
- Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and assisting with product demos when needed
- Handle cash, credit card transactions, and perform cash handling duties with precision and integrity
- Upsell products and promote store specials to maximize sales opportunities
- Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring product availability
- Provide product knowledge to customers, including conducting product demos and explaining features
- Practice excellent phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or taking orders
- Support inventory management through stocking and merchandising efforts to ensure an attractive shopping environment
Experience
- Previous retail sales or cashiering experience preferred, especially in grocery stores or similar retail environments
- Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership in team settings
- Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer bases effectively
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic retail math for accurate transactions and inventory management
- Strong communication skills to engage customers confidently and professionally
- Experience in upselling, customer service excellence, and maintaining a friendly demeanor in fast-paced settings
- Knowledge of grocery store operations including stocking, merchandising, and product demos is advantageous
