Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Host/Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. You will manage seating arrangements, take orders, process payments, and assist with guest inquiries. Your ability to communicate effectively and maintain a positive attitude will be essential in creating an enjoyable dining experience for our customers.
Salary
Basic hourly pay start from $9 plus sharing tips. Average hourly wage is more than $14.00
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, ensuring a warm and friendly atmosphere.
- Manage seating arrangements and waitlists efficiently to optimize table turnover.
- Take customer orders accurately and relay them to the kitchen staff using the POS system.
- Process payments promptly and handle cash transactions with precision.
- Address guest inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints with professionalism.
- Maintain cleanliness in the front-of-house area, including menus and dining spaces.
- Assist in training new staff members on guest services and operational procedures.
- Uphold high standards of hospitality and ensure guest satisfaction throughout their visit.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills with an emphasis on guest relations and customer service.
- Familiarity with POS systems is advantageous; training will be provided as needed.
- Excellent phone etiquette for handling reservations or inquiries over the phone.
