Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our vibrant café team. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Salary
Hourly basic pay plus tip is more than $14/hr
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks and beverages according to standard recipes.
- Operate coffee brewing equipment and ensure proper maintenance.
- Engage with customers in a friendly manner, taking orders accurately and efficiently.
- Handle cash transactions, including cash handling and processing payments using Chowbus POS.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food safety practices.
- Assist in inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying management of low stock levels.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth café operations during peak hours.
- Uphold the café's standards for quality, service, and cleanliness.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in the food industry or café setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong math skills for cash handling and basic retail math calculations.
- Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods effectively.
- Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques is a plus.
- Familiarity with food safety standards is essential.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
- Must be able to stand for long periods and perform tasks in a fast-paced environment.
