Job Summary
Maintenance Technician use electrical tools to safely identify electrical problems, install, repair and maintain wiring, motors, generators, power for machines, controls, lighting and other such electrical equipment. Assists Electrician with main power supply for plant and other high voltage areas. Uses welding equipment and hand, power and pneumatic tools to identify general maintenance problems, construct, assemble, repair, move and remove equipment, and perform routine maintenance on company facilities including, but not limited to, building, grounds, off-site facilities, equipment and machinery.
Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities
Tasks may include, but are not limited to the following:
- Performs work as assigned by supervisor/manager
- Monitors materials within the department
- Performs work assignments and completes associated paperwork
- Able to work independently to maintain production, efficiency, quality and discipline. Function as part of a self-directed work team
- Contributes to team effort by focusing on achieving results that are linked to company goals and objectives
- Maintains proper housekeeping
- Knows and observes safety regulations and precautions
- Performs other duties as assigned
