Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables with a friendly attitude.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted.
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness.
- Upsell menu items such as cocktails, wines, or desserts to enhance guest experience and increase sales.
- Process cash and credit card transactions accurately, handling cash handling and cashiering duties with integrity.
- Maintain knowledge of our menu offerings, including wine knowledge and spirits experience, to answer guest questions confidently.
- Support food safety and sanitation standards by adhering to proper food handling procedures and cleanliness protocols.
- Assist with bussing tables and resetting stations quickly during busy service hours.
- Use OpenTable or similar reservation systems to manage guest seating efficiently.
- Provide exceptional guest relations by responding promptly to inquiries and ensuring guest satisfaction throughout their visit.
Qualifications
- Previous food service or restaurant experience is highly preferred; fine dining experience is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with a genuine desire to create positive guest interactions.
- Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous.
- Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service techniques.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables smoothly during busy hours.
- Ability to process sales transactions accurately while maintaining attention to detail.
- Food safety certification or willingness to obtain one; understanding of sanitation standards is essential.
- Basic math skills for handling bills, change, and sales calculations confidently.
