Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu plans.
- Assist in menu planning, taking into consideration dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations.
- Handle food items safely, ensuring proper storage and handling techniques are followed.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely preparation and presentation of meals.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely, including knives and other cooking tools.
- Participate in catering events as needed, providing high-quality food service to guests.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist in ordering as necessary.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Cook or in a similar role within the culinary field.
- Familiarity with various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations is essential.
- Experience in menu planning is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team setting.
