Qualifications:Job Description
Kyocera SLD Laser is looking for an individual to participate in achieving GaN device testing objectives in the Advanced Development group at Kyocera SLD Laser. This role will focus on the rapid execution of lots aimed at testing of test-structures and devices for characterizing device and process performance. The successful candidate will be hands-on, self-motivated, and detail-oriented, with the ability to quickly learn and carry out test procedures from start to finish. Contributing to the improvement of testing techniques is also expected. This person will play an important role in developing new laser and optoelectronic device structures and testing processes.
Specific Responsibilities
- Testing of GaN devices and test-structures
- Tracking of testing steps and documenting results
- Data entry and performing test related calculations
- Supporting test equipment maintenance, routine calibration, and spares inventory
- Aiding in the development of new testing equipment and methods
Experience and Skills
- Must be able to work under microscope and have very high level of dexterity (devices to manually handle are small and fragile). Mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity and attention to detail required.
- Must have computer experience. Basic skills with navigating folders and network, be proficient in MS Word and MS Excel or similar.
- Must be organized, and safety, quality and detail-orientated
- Must have a good understanding of how automation machine works.
- Good communication skills. Able to work alongside engineering staff and technicians
- Semiconductor testing experience preferred, but not required
- III-V laser or other optoelectronic testing experience preferred, but not required
- Requires a High School Diploma or Equivalent with 2 years of experience, or AS or BS with some semiconductor device testing experience highly desired
The full time base salary range for the position of R&D Test Technician is $21.00 to $25.00 per hour. The range reflects the minimum and maximum possible base salary for new hires for the role, based on the advertised location. Individual pay is determined by several factors including work location, job related skills, experience, and relevant education and training.
