Senior Cybersecurity Analyst
KYOCERA SGS Precision Tools is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Analyst to lead and advance our cybersecurity program. This role serves as a technical subject matter expert responsible for proactively defending systems, guiding security strategy, mentoring team members, and driving continuous improvement of the company’s overall security posture. This position requires advanced technical expertise to: Lead Cyber Defense, Strengthen Security Strategy, and Protect the Business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advanced Threat Monitoring: Lead continuous monitoring of SIEM, EDR, and IDS/IPS systems to detect and respond to sophisticated threats and anomalies.
- Incident Response Leadership: Coordinate investigations, containment, eradication, and recovery from security incidents while conducting deep root cause analysis and long-term mitigation planning.
- Vulnerability & Risk Management: Oversee vulnerability assessments, penetration testing coordination, and risk prioritization based on business impact and threat intelligence.
- Secure Architecture & Controls: Provide expert guidance on secure system design, architecture reviews, and implementation of security controls across infrastructure and applications.
- Security Governance: Develop, implement, and enforce cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures aligned with frameworks such as NIST and ISO 27001.
- Security Tool Optimization: Administer and optimize enterprise tools including firewalls, endpoint protection, SIEM platforms, and threat intelligence solutions.
- Threat Hunting: Proactively identify emerging threats and enhance detection capabilities using threat intelligence and advanced analysis techniques.
- Executive Reporting: Prepare and present security posture updates, risk assessments, and actionable recommendations to leadership.
- Security Awareness & Training: Lead organization-wide cybersecurity awareness initiatives and guide technical teams on best practices.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with IT, compliance, and business teams to align cybersecurity initiatives with organizational objectives.
- Mentorship & Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior analysts and lead cybersecurity initiatives and projects.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5 years of cybersecurity or information security experience
- Strong expertise in network, endpoint, and cloud security
- Experience with security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS) and regulatory compliance (HIPAA, GDPR)
- Hands-on experience with SIEM, EDR, vulnerability management, and incident response tools
- Proven experience in threat hunting and APT detection
- Strong analytical, leadership, and decision-making skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond effectively under pressure
- Preferred Certifications: CISSP, CISM, CEH, GIAC, CompTIA Security (advanced certifications strongly preferred)
