FULL TIME
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The Logistics Analyst will be responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of a product line, from purchasing of materials to distribution of finished goods. A key focus will be on streamlining supply chain operations and evaluating company assets to achieve department mission and goals.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinates with suppliers, customers, and foreign offices for import/export documentation and comply with trade laws
- Request for quotes both import/export shipments and negotiate
- Develop and maintain database for tracking finished goods, WIP, and purchase orders with foreign offices and suppliers to ensure shipments are moving in a timely manner
- Coordinate with broker and compliance specialists for customs clearance for import shipments
- Coordinate with compliance specialists for proper AES Data Elements and assist to prepare Shipper’s Letter of Instruction
- Create commercial invoices, packing list, and gather any additional documentation to comply with each transaction
- Coordinate shipment deliveries
- Understand HTS codes and Schedule B numbers for export/imports
- Assist with small package carriers tracking and missing documentation
- Work with Freight Auditing company for invoice payments and follow up unpaid invoices
- Complete Unallocated Freight sent monthly from Finance
- Analyze Freight Spending and Communicate with foreign logistics teams
- Communicate damaged shipments between the warehouses and the truckers
- Track, trace, and monitor shipments and make sure all transactions are in compliant
- Plan, coordinate, and execute special shipping arrangements
- File lost/damaged freight claims
- Other projects as necessary
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree is required, preferably in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field
- Previous experience working within Supply Chain Management or Purchasing is strongly desired
- Strong business analytical, computer, and organizational skills, particularly in managing/tracking logistics and processing large databases
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work and communicate effectively at all levels within the Kyocera AVX organization Fast-paced environment with challenging tasks and commitment to be in compliant at all levels of the supply chain process
- Positive mind set to unknown factors and explore options for improvement and be alert to red flags
- Detailed oriented, dedication, integrity, and team player is a must
