What are the responsibilities and job description for the Programmer Analyst position at KYOCERA AVX Greenville LLC?
Primary Function:
Performs all design phases of software development including internal design, code, test, documentation, and training. Evaluates user request for new or modified programs.
Duties & Responsibilities:- Performs systems analysis and design for maintenance and enhancement work.
- Designs, codes, tests, and documents software.
- Investigates software problems, formulates resolution, and makes necessary software corrections. Respond to and Resolve systems issues and document in Ticket system.
- Performs multi-program or systems test and analyzes test results.
- Participates in planning and scheduling projects.
- Analyzes new or existing programs/systems to improve functionality and /or resolve business needs'.
- Writes internal design and program specifications for new program development and/or revisions.
- Train users on new or changed functions.
- Coordinates and interfaces with technical and operations personnel for problem resolution, efficiency improvements, and implementation of new systems.
- Keeps abreast of technical advancements through participation in professional organizations, literature, and education opportunities.
- Gains understanding and develops expertise in department procedures and design methodologies and participates in improvement opportunities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related field.
- Strong object-oriented programming knowledge (JavX, C#, etc.).
- Experience with GitHub preferred.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Ability to review and evaluate online screens and printed reports.
- Ability to document actions taken within systems, outlining root cause analysis within the ticket system.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business personnel.
- Demonstrated ability to think logically and analytically.
