Pay Range: $30.13 to $45.20
Shift: Daytime
Actual pay will be based on various factors, such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, proficiency for the role, and internal equity. Kwik Trip, Inc.’s Network Services Department is seeking a Cloud Engineer with a focus on Azure and Public Cloud Administration.
What you’ll be doing…
As a Cloud Engineer, you will work independently as well as on a team to provide operational support for Kwik Trip’s Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Environments.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Cloud Management: Assist in managing Kwik Trip’s public cloud environments on Azure and Google Cloud Platform.
- Terraform Configuration: Write, maintain, and optimize Terraform configurations to automate infrastructure deployment and management in cloud environments.
- Cloud Security: Contribute to the design and implementation of strategies to ensure the security and resiliency of public cloud solutions in Azure and GCP.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve resource and performance issues with new and existing cloud infrastructure.
- Documentation: Create and update comprehensive documentation to ensure repeatability of team processes.
- Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery: Collaborate with the Availability and Recovery team to design, implement, and maintain business continuity and disaster recovery procedures for Kwik Trip’s Cloud infrastructure.
- Monitoring & Reporting: Set up and manage cloud monitoring, alerting, and reporting.
- Cost Management: Assist with budgeting and chargeback activities related to public cloud services, ensuring cost-effective use of cloud resources.
- Cloud Solutions Evaluation: Help evaluate new public cloud services and provide recommendations for solutions that align with Kwik Trip’s business needs.
- Vendor/Coworker Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with cloud service vendors and with other departments at Kwik Trip to ensure effective partnerships and support.
You’ll need to have:
Education:
- Associate’s degree in information systems or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience in IT or cloud-related fields.
Experience:
- Azure Administration: 1-2 years of experience OR System Administration: 3-5 years, with a strong interest in expanding expertise in enterprise-level cloud management.
Skills:
- Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot, optimize, and improve cloud infrastructure.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of performance.
- Capable of working both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong customer service skills, ensuring timely and effective responses to team and business needs.
- A passion for continuous learning and professional development, with a proactive approach to staying current in the cloud technology space.
Preferred Skills:
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Experience using Terraform or other IaC tools to deploy and manage cloud resources.
- Automation: Experience working with Powershell or other scripting language.
- Cloud Identity Management: Familiarity with Azure EntraID or other identity management systems.
- Networking Knowledge: Understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
- Agile Methodology: Experience using Jira and working in Agile environments, collaborating in sprint-based teams to achieve project milestones.
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday during daytime business hours, with support outside of business hours as needed. This role includes a rotating on-call schedule for evenings and weekends. Hybrid work model with required onsite presence during the week.
