Automotive Mechanic - B Technician

Kwik Kar Oil Change & Auto Care is seeking a skilled B Technician Mechanic to join our growing team in Fort Worth. We are looking for an experienced technician who can accurately diagnose, maintain, and repair a wide variety of domestic and import vehicles while delivering high-quality workmanship and outstanding customer service.

As a B Technician, you will perform everything from routine maintenance to complex mechanical repairs using modern diagnostic equipment, digital vehicle inspections, and manufacturer-recommended repair procedures. Responsibilities

• Diagnose drivability, electrical, and mechanical issues using advanced diagnostic equipment.
• Perform maintenance services including oil changes, fluid exchanges, filters, belts, hoses, spark plugs, and tune-ups.
• Repair brakes, suspension, steering, cooling systems, charging systems, and engine performance concerns.
• Perform engine diagnostics and repair, including timing components, gaskets, water pumps, and other mechanical repairs.
• Diagnose and repair starting, charging, battery, alternator, and electrical system issues.
• Perform A/C and heating system diagnostics and repairs.
• Complete suspension, steering, and front-end repairs.
• Perform wheel alignments (experience preferred).
• Inspect vehicles and complete Digital Vehicle Inspections (DVI) with clear photos and technician notes.
• Accurately document repair recommendations and communicate findings with service advisors.
• Follow manufacturer specifications and shop procedures on every repair.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Work efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship and productivity.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of professional automotive repair experience preferred.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with domestic and Asian vehicles; European experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of engine performance, electrical systems, suspension, steering, brakes, and cooling systems.
• Ability to use scan tools, diagnostic equipment, and repair information systems.
• Experience with Digital Vehicle Inspections is a plus.
• ASE Certifications are preferred but not required.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks required in an automotive repair environment.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
