Responsibilities
- Welcome customers warmly and listen attentively to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections, including diagnostics for transmissions, brakes, suspension, shocks & struts, air brakes, tire service, oil changes, and collision repairs
- Prepare detailed estimates using automotive estimating software and communicate repair options clearly to clients
- Recommend additional services or repairs through effective upselling techniques to enhance vehicle safety and performance
- Write comprehensive service reports and maintain accurate documentation of all transactions
- Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs and ensure timely completion of services
- Handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining excellent customer service throughout the process
Requirements
- Proven experience as an automotive service advisor or in a similar auto service management role within a dealership or repair shop
- Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in automotive diagnostics, vehicle maintenance, and repair procedures
- Proficiency with estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally
- Experience in auto estimating, sales, and service writing is highly desirable
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to drive various vehicles safely
- Knowledge of collision repair processes and familiarity with mechanical systems such as transmissions, suspension, shocks & struts, brake systems, and tire services
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently
