Position Purpose

The motel housekeeper is responsible for thoroughly cleaning and sanitizing motel rooms between guests as required by State Health Department.

Position Description - Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize the bathroom, sink, toilet, and showers/tub.
• Dust all furniture.
• Remove used towels and replenish with required clean, fresh towels.
• Strip bed linens and replace them with clean, fresh linens.
• Vacuum the entire room.
• Mop bathroom floors.
• Check toilet tissues and facial tissues and replace them if necessary.
• Check all lights for working bulbs and replace or contact Custodial Maintenance for assistance replacing.
• Report any deficiencies to Truck Stop Manager for immediate attention.
• Place used towels and linens in the motel laundry area for laundering and perform laundering services as necessary.
• Perform other duties that may be assigned by the Location Manager, Assistant Manager, or District Manager.

Work Environment

Physical Demands

Required Education and Experience  

• High school diploma or GED equivalent. 
• Prior experience in a hospitality environment is helpful but not required.
