Laboratory Office Assistant – Full Time
KWB Pathology Associates is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Laboratory Office Assistant to join our team at the TMH Histology Laboratory.
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
Pay: Starting at $16.50 per hour, with higher pay available based on experience.
What You’ll Do
- Accurately enter patient and specimen information
- Accession routine and STAT specimens
- Identify specimen types and recognize documentation issues
- Track reference lab and problem cases for follow-up
- Verify courier deliveries and complete required logs
- Label, file, and retrieve slides and tissue blocks
- File requisitions and fill supply orders
- Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked work areas
- Follow laboratory quality-control and specimen-disposal procedures
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or GED
- Accurate data-entry and organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Ability to read and interpret laboratory requisitions
- Good judgment and attention to detail
- Laboratory experience or training preferred, but not required
Candidates must successfully complete a background check and drug screening.
