We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow within the office while providing exceptional patient care. As a Dental Assistant, you will work closely with dentists and other team members to deliver high-quality dental services, maintain patient comfort, and uphold the standards of infection control.
Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared.
- Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed, x-ray certification required.
- Maintain accurate medical records and patient information using dental software systems.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment plans.
- Manage infection control protocols by following aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures.
- Schedule appointments, manage patient flow, and handle front desk duties as required.
- Operate 3D scanners for imaging when necessary.
- Support the practice in various specialties including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, implants, orthodontics, and pediatric dentistry.
Skills
- Proficiency in using Eaglesoft dental software preferred.
- Knowledge of general dentistry practices and procedures.
- Familiarity with medical records management.
- Experience with infection control measures and aseptic techniques.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
