The Opportunity:
KW Services is seeking an experienced Vice President of Operations to lead and elevate the performance of our electrical operations. This executive will be responsible for strengthening execution standards, enhancing operational discipline, and driving consistent, profitable results across all projects.
The Vice President of Operations will build scalable systems, improve visibility into operational performance, and ensure alignment between field execution, project management, and financial objectives. This role is central to advancing operational maturity and supporting continued growth.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Operational Leadership
- Lead all electrical field and project operations
- Establish consistent execution standards across projects
- Improve scheduling accuracy, labor productivity, and field coordination
- Ensure alignment between estimating, project management, and field teams
Performance & Financial Discipline
- Strengthen job cost visibility and margin accountability
- Improve forecasting accuracy and backlog management
- Drive labor efficiency and production consistency
- Monitor operational KPIs and implement corrective action when needed
Process & Systems
- Implement standardized operational controls and reporting structures
- Enhance workflow integration across departments
- Develop scalable processes that support growth
- Improve documentation, compliance, and accountability measures
Leadership & Communication
- Serve as a visible, respected leader in both the field and office
- Communicate clearly across union crews, project managers, and executive leadership
- Develop operational leaders and foster a culture of accountability
- Promote collaboration, transparency, and performance ownership
All Other Duties as Assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 10 years of progressive leadership experience in electrical contracting
- Union electrical environment experience preferred
- Demonstrated success improving operational performance and profitability
- Strong financial acumen with experience reviewing job cost reporting
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in the construction or contractor services industry.
- Familiarity with electrical and mechanical contracting operations.
- Proven track record of managing financial operations in a similar industry.
- Experience with project-based accounting and financial management.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

Classification & Compensation
The position is full-time, permanent and exempt.
The pay range varies, depending on experience, skills, and abilities.
